Featured Artists: Anton and As'aad Salmon

These members together operate two workshops in Bethlehem, both established in 1963.  Anton and his brother As'aad, who are both members, took the workshop over from their father.  In the beginning they made mainly jewelry from olive wood.  Later they shifted production over to figures and rosaries made with olive wood beads.

The two workshops together provide work for twenty five to thirty employees, and also employ approximately thirty five families form nearby villages.  Under this arrangement, woman from these families in the villages are involved in assembling the rosaries using olive wood beads produced in the workshop.  In this way the workshop supports more than sixty families.
